It is important for children to identify the common words that they come across in stories. Sight words are the basic first step to help children achieve mastery in reading. This worksheet will help your child to identify. We encourage our students to practice writing the sight word first, then using the paint so they don’t get paint on themselves. Here is a fun worksheet that will help your child recognize the sight word like. They are able to make the sight words with the stamps, then we encourage them to practicing writing the sight word, or to make a sentence with the word in it.Īnother way we have been practicing our sight words is by using Q-Tips dipped in paint. Students love to do anything that has anything to do with stamps (these are from Scholar’s Choice, but you can find my other favourite set here). They also practice writing the sight word, or use it in a sentence. They love using markers or crayons to trace over the sight words, and they get to learn colour words at the same time.
